Tree Pipit

Jonathan Taylor found two Tree Pipits at Castor Hanglands today, which I needed for my PBC life list. Brian Stone I tried to refind them with our families, and eventually succeeded. We also had three Redstarts (two males and a female), six Buzzards, a Hobby and heard a Tawny Owl (digiscoped).

ID-wise: Note the tiddly rear claw (compared to Meadow Pipit), the yellow-ochre breast and white belly and the contrast of coarse lines of breast streaks with very fine flank strikes and the structure which is much less like Meadow Pipit than you would think from fieldguides.
